CALLING ALL CHILI MASTERS!
The Canton Community Center is excited to announce our 1st annual sizzlin chili cook-off on October 21st 2017. We write asking that you consider becoming an entrant in our competition! We are offering all local and surrounding businesses and citizens an opportunity to showcase their award winning chili! People like you are fixing their best pot of chili and entering it into our competition. Winners will receive bragging rights for a year along with the chance to place in the top 3 and win some awesome prizes! A panel of judges will select the top 2 entrants however there will also be a people’s choice winner. Top prize is a $150 meat bundle from US Wellness Meats of Canton, MO.
Each entrant is required to be present at 2pm for a cooks meeting, contest runs from 3pm to 7pm with awards at 7:30pm. Each entrant will be given a 4 foot section to decorate how you see fit. We encourage you to have fun, name your chili, decorate your booth, and dress in costume! This is designated as a fun event and we want you to have fun! If you choose to become an entrant you will need to provide a 10 quart (2.5 gal) vessel of chili, and you will need to provide a way of keeping it warm, such as crockpot or electric roaster, along with an extension cord. Registration is required by filling out this paper form or the electronic form to the right and returning to us by October 16th, 2017 by 11:59pm. Only 15 entrants will be accepted for the chili cook-off. If space is still available after October 16th there is a $10 registration fee.
Please note: Any Chili is permitted, red, green/white, freestyle, vegetarian, and bean/bean less. Any meat is permitted, beef, sausage, chicken, turkey, venison, duck, and pork are all acceptable. No other wild game will be permitted.

The Canton Community Center is excited to announce our 1st annual sizzlin chili cook-off on October 21st 2017. Come Join us for a evening of tasty chili, games and other food.
Chili tasting will begin at 3pm on October 21st and run through 7pm! For each adult at $7 or each child at $5 you will receive one ticket for each Chili Master to sample their chili. Additionally you will receive 10 voting tickets to vote for whom ever you so choose.
We will have arm bands for sale at $3 each. These arm bands will get you into all games. These games are but not limited to; Needles in a Haystack, Pumpkin Patch Stomp, Craft Station, Pumpkin Mini Golf, and Apple Toss. Prizes will be awarded.
In addition to the Chili Sampling you have the option to purchase your favorite whole bowls of chili for $2 each. Burgers and Brats will also be for sale.
